With one master stroke of analytic genius, TSA agents at Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport swooped on a woman attempting to travel with a cupcake. Agents convened and concluded that the frosting on the cupcake could present a potential threat as it may contain gels or chemicals used in making improvised explosive devices. The woman was later released, but the cupcake was confiscated, due to security concerns.
While I’m sure that we can all agree on the potential danger of frosted cupcakes, I have to admit I’m a bit more concerned about the potential threat of fruitcakes that may have been overlooked. Not only are they dangerous for the potential ingredients, they can be used to club flight attendants and bash in the door to the cockpit. I wonder if TSA has given that any consideration. I’m just saying…
